Update Names of Actual Tenant in Record of Rights: Odisha Govt to District Collectors

The Odisha State Revenue and Disaster Management Department has written to all district collectors, directing them to revise the record of rights in a time-bound manner. While stating that there has been no revision in settlement for the last 32 years, the department said that RoRs had the name of the ancestors of the present tenants. This prevents them from benefiting from many welfare schemes such as the PM Kisan.

“You are requested to impress upon all field functionaries such as tahasildars/additional tahasildars to detect such unpartitioned land parcel cases in Camp Courts or otherwise and resolve such cases in a time-bound manner so as to reflect the ground reality in the RoR. This shall also be disseminated widely through Rajaswa Rath. Also, ADMs and sub-collectors shall be instructed to make a special drive to make this program a success. This may be treated as extremely urgent,” read the official letter.

Conclusion

The e Pauti portal is a significant step towards digitizing land revenue payments in Odisha, making it easier and more convenient for landowners to fulfill their obligations. By following the outlined steps, users can efficiently manage their land revenue payments and access related services online. The initiative not only saves time but also ensures transparency and accuracy in the payment process.
